Strength & Conditioning Coach
Southwestern University seeks candidates for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach responsible for the development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for twenty varsity sports in cooperation with the respective head coaches. This position is responsible for supervising workouts, providing student-athletes with proper guidance and training techniques, and designing effective, sport-specific workouts. The candidate may be eligible for faculty status and teach in the Fitness and Recreation Activities (FRA) program. This is a 12-month, full-time exempt position with benefits.
A bachelor’s degree is required with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). The successful candidate is expected to comply with departmental guidelines set forth by Southwestern University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the NCAA Division III.
