Vice President Commercial Lending (Springfield) MassDevelopment is accepting applications for the Vice President of Commercial Lending - Springfield, MA. Reporting to the SVP of Lending, the role consists of originating, evaluating, credit analysis and underwriting; negotiating and closing loans. Clients will include manufacturing companies, non-profit service providers, and commercial real estate developers among others. Additional responsibilities include - managing portfolio of existing loans and preparing requests for approval in compliance with guidelines; making presentations at networking events; maintaining relationships with borrowers and referral sources; cross selling other agency programs and developing new business from our Springfield office. Travel to Boston may be required from time to time. Qualified applicants will possess a BS in Finance, Accounting of Business Administration - MBA preferred; Minimum of 5 years commercial and industrial lending experience/commercial real estate lending; Formal credit training; Experience in mezzanine and subordinated financing would be helpful; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent verbal and written skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. A writing sample is required. Valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
