Position Description:
| Survivor Outreach and Advocacy Services, CBDV/Supportive Housing Program, Springfield. Qualifications include: A.A. or equivalent education of experience in a human service field; One year of direct service experience and familiarity with issues of violence against women; Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred; Must have prior experience working with children and adult survivors of domestic violence. Duties and Responsibilities include: Conduct weekly group/workshops for program participants utilizing Allstate Foundation Moving Ahead through Financial Management curriculum and other curriculums as approved to include various workshops on housing and other life skills; Conduct initial intake on all program participants who enter program; Provide individual counseling to battered women from the community for 1-2 sessions with a focus on safety planning and options for immediate needs to be met; Work in collaboration with hotline workers in order to get referrals from hotline; Conduct community groups for domestic violence.
