Position Description:
| The Cloisters, the branch museum of The Metropolitan Museum of Art is devoted to the art of medieval Europe is offering eight paid internships. During this 9 week program, interns are responsible for conducting gallery workshops with New York City day campers and for developing a public gallery talk. The program includes intensive training sessions on The Cloisters collection and museum teaching techniques, as well as visits with museum curators and conservators and trips to other art institutions in and near New York City. The summer program runs from June 3rd to August 2nd, 2013. Each intern will receive an honorarium of $2,925. All applications must be submitted via the website by January 15, 2013.
