Peer Respite Advocates
Peer Respite Advocates – 12 to 30 hours per week. Afternoon into evening hours (some flexibility requested), 6 hours per day. Offer support, advocacy and a balancing presence to people who are staying at Afiya (peer respite house) in Northampton.
Personal experience receiving mental health services, psychiatric diagnoses, extreme states and/or trauma, etc. required. Knowledge of rights and advocacy work, Certified Peer Specialist, Intentional Peer Support training, bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish or ASL), a vehicle you are willing to use during work a plus! Afiya is a part of the Western Mass RLC which is under the umbrella of the Western Mass Training Consortium. AA/EOE.
