Position Description:
| The Career Center provides comprehensive career services to students, employers, and alumni
of Colorado State University including career identification and planning, internship options, job
search assistance and employment opportunities, to name a few. The Senior Associate
Director, Employer Relations directs the employer relations and recruiting strategies for The
Career Center and manages five professional staff and two student staff. The position reports
to the Director of The Career Center, and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, a city of 145,000 and 65 miles north of

Located at the western edge of the Great Plains and at the eastern base of the Rocky

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the design and delivery of employer related services and recruiting programs
for The Career Center. Participate in overall management of the Career Center as a
member of the senior leadership team, serving as a self-reflective leader.
Lead a university wide Employer Relations working group of approximately twelve fulltime staff for the purpose of ensuring a coordinated and seamless experience for
employers that wish to recruit at multiple colleges.
Manage the transition and ongoing success of CareerRam, an Enterprise System
whereby all colleges and The Alumni Association use a coordinated job posting system
that allows them to have an independent look and feel for their student population. Work
collaboratively to create and manage navigation and usage guidelines for all campus
partners involved in CareerRam.
Work closely with the University Advancement Office and The Career Center Director to
develop and manage the Career Center’s Corporate Partner’s Program, with the goal of
engaging multiple corporations in giving time and resources to opportunities around
campus.
Work with the director, other key staff, and university partners to develop a
comprehensive strategic plan with the goal of expanding the number, quality, and
diversity of professional career opportunities available for CSU students and alumni.
Build productive employer relationships and attract more companies to source CSU
students and alumni for internships and full-time employment.
Work collaboratively with a variety of diversity organizations on campus to create multicultural recruiting initiatives.
Execute an employer relations plan consulting with employers on recruiting and other
strategic needs and directing the efforts of the Assistant Directors of Employer Relations.
Develop measurable goals to monitor achievement.
