Position Description:
| Touchstone Community School: Skilled, creative literacy & social studies teacher. Literacy curriculum is workshop-based on Nancie Atwell’s readers/writers model. Social studies is theme-based & focuses on research, note-taking, in-depth learning, & presentation skills. Ideal candidate would communicate well with teacher on leave & math/science teacher, have experience in progressive schools, be able to sustain strong parent & student relationships, & successfully implement the curriculum. This is a team-teaching position. Candidates should enjoy & be able to work successfully in a collaborative atmosphere. College degree & foci in literacy/social studies preferred.
