Part time position. May Institute's early intervention program in West Springfield is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct services for 5 hours per week to children for whom occupational therapy supports are identified in their Individual Family Service Plan. Other tasks include:
Complete a physical therapy/occupational therapy-specific assessment to document child’s status and to develop specific functional outcomes and strategies using family-friendly terminology
Maintain ongoing contact with the child’s service coordinator to ensure consistencies in service delivery
Document status of child’s individual outcomes on session notes and provide “homework” to the parents and others involved in the child’s life
Attend IEP meetings per the request of the parent(s)
Complete a discharge report to document status prior to transition
Previous experience working with infants and toddlers and licensure in the state of Massachusetts required.
