Graduate Assistant/Alumni Relations

Position Description:

September 1st - (two weeks after Reunion)

Average Hours Per Week

20 hours - $10.00 hourly

Responsibilities to Include but not be Limited to

- Expansion of Alumni Relations Social Networking presence - Management of the Student Humanics Award - Development and facilitation of the Celebration of Loyalty video for Reunion - Management of Career Networking Coffee House Logistics - Development of an Alumni Networking Directory in conjunction with the Career Networking Coffee House - Maintenance of records for and communication with Homecoming and Reunion on site alumni volunteers - Management of logistics for one or more of the Affinity Reunions - Co-Management of the Alumni Awards Process with the Assistant Director - Other duties as assigned and as determined by the student's personal and professional goals and objectives

Academic and Developmental Benefits

This paraprofessional experience will provide the student with practical application in a real world setting. He/she will have the opportunity to discuss professional goals and objectives with the Alumni Director. Other aspects of the job description will be tailored to enhance the student's academic experience and align with his/her professional goals.

This position will develop the ability to relate to and work with a multi generational constituency

This position will foster the ability to partner with a variety of other offices on a college campus including but not limited to Athletics, Student Affairs and Academic Affairs

This position will allow the student to explore various forms of leadership. He / she will have the opportunity to employ and hone a variety of leadership techniques and explore various leadership styles based on the dynamic of the various groups with which he/she will be working and based on his/her personality .


While this para professional with report to the Alumni Director, he/she will collaborate with all members of the Alumni Relations Staff
