Position Description:

College for Kids Instructors, Part-Time Westfield State University Primary Duties/Responsibilities Westfield State University’s College for Kids programs seeks interested, innovative instructors for morning and afternoon sessions during February school vacation, April school vacation, and Summer 2013. College for Kids is a program provided by Westfield State University for kids ages 5-16. We provide kids with innovative and creative educational programs, making it an enjoyable environment for learning. The success of the program is largely attributed to our experienced teaching staff and amazing volunteers. Classes range in subjects such as natural science, history, digital media, and the arts. Our staff’s ability to provide such diversity with our classes allows us to reach out to children with a variety of interests and abilities. Class placement is generally limited to twelve students. Bachelor’s Degree, prior teaching experience, and prior experience working with children strongly preferred. Instructors must pass a CORI check prior to employment.
