Position Description:

Location: Springfield, MA The Western New England University Polling Institute is recruiting students to work as telephone interviewers for our regional, state and local public opinion surveys. These are part-time temporary positions with work that is available during specific periods in the academic year. The Polling Institute, founded in 2005, conducts surveys on politics and public policy. More information about the Institute is available at http://www1.wne.edu/pollinginst. Our next survey is scheduled for Oct. 26 through Nov. 1. Hours for polling are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. weeknights and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends. The Institute’s call center is located in Churchill Hall on the campus of Western New England University. Qualifications: Applicants should be personable, enthusiastic, dependable, and have an excellent command of spoken and written English. Prior experience in telephone interviewing is not necessary, but previous work in dealing with the public is helpful. Interviewers will receive training before beginning work on a survey.
