Position Title:

Web Developer - LAMP - Costa Mesa, CA

Position Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled front-end/back-end developer to be point for the new www.tickets.com website platform. This position requires strong experience with standards compliant HTML and CSS. The main engine behind our website is PHP. We utilize the ZendFramework to speed up the development process. Interested candidates should have experience creating websites or web apps within the PHP ZendFramework. The front-end view is generated through the Smarty Template Engine. JavaScript is deeply embedded within our front-end environment. Interested candidates should have experience with the following JavaScript libraries; UnderscoreJS, BackboneJS, RaphaelJS, Twitter Bootstrap and of course jQuery. All of our databases are MySQL. Interested candidates should know how to build complex transaction queries.

Essential Responsibilities: Semantic HTML/CSS coding/updating for assigned projects Javascript/DOM scripting to build interactive but accessible interfaces Working with FreeMarker templates and JSON or XML files to expose data to the front-end Building specific functionality and modules using PHP Interaction with UX team and business users Daily maintenance/updates to existing website

Required Skills: Bachelor Degree in Web Development, Computer Science or combined equivalent of education and/or experience is required Front-end and back-end development experience, seamless integration of the front-end and back-end functionality Ability to write standards based, semantic HTML and CSS and modern layouts using table-less design Very strong skills and understanding of PHP, MySQL and Transactional Queries, jQuery Experience using Smarty PHP Template Engine Experience with the follow JavaScript Libraries; UnderscoreJS, BackboneJS, RaphaelJS and Twitter Bootstrap Experience working with JavaScript API Call and Parsing JSON Responses A strong understanding of Web Optimization with Memcache, APC, REDIS A strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience A good understanding of cross-browser issues and their workarounds Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be a team player and open to change (nothing stays constant!)
