The Y Infant/Toddler Program in Burlington is seeking a full time Teacher who will be responsible for supervision of an assigned group of children, following the philosophy and standards of the YMCA in conjunction with the NAEYC guidelines for Early Childhood Programs. Responsibilities include the implementation of a quality early childhood program, supervising children, ensuring their safety and managing classroom environments. The Teacher will be expected to appropriately communicate with children, staff and families, and will be responsible for the supervision of assistant staff.
This position is a regular full time position; benefits include a generous benefit package including health, dental, life, and disability insurance, retirement, a Y family membership, child care benefits and 25 days off per year.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) and at least one year of experience working with young children. Current certification in infant/child CPR and first aid or completion of those certifications within 30 days of employment required.
