Position Description:
| The Director of Athletics reports directly to the President and is responsible for providing effective leadership of a large (200 full- and part-time employees), high-profile program committed to excellence in academics and athletics.
This position requires vision, personal integrity, high energy, strong communication skills, and those applying should be supportive of the mission, heritage, and values of Boston College and able to contribute to them.
Candidates will be expected to maintain and enhance partnerships with academic, financial, and advancement personnel, and to be an effective presence among students, faculty, and staff as well as among alumni and friends, particularly donors, of Boston College. To be considered, applicants should have experience and a demonstrated record of success in athletics administration or in a similar field/organization.
