Developmental Specialist/Mental Health
The Parent-Child Development Center is looking for a Developmental Specialist/Mental Health. S/he will work closely with staff, families and community agencies to build capacity to address infants’, toddlers’ and preschoolers social and emotional needs through staff training, on-site consultation and parent education; build bridges between systems and services on behalf of children, families and the overall program through community referrals, follow up and tracking; and provide support for crisis management by advising staff on how to respond to unsafe behaviors and developing individualized behavior plans. Employee must be a licensed mental health professional with at least 2 years of early childhood (0-5) mental health experience, preferably in an early education and care setting, with excellent analytical, communication, training, presentation and strong interpersonal and professional networking skills. Must be able to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, data driven and outcomes based environment. Must be computer literate, and comfortable with the ongoing collection and tracking of electronic data. Must display cultural competence and be sensitive to the needs of families with lower incomes. 2 positions available: Hampshire County 32 hrs week/full year; Hampshire/Franklin County 27 hrs week/full year. $17.39 - $19.04/hr, excellent benefits.
