Position Description:
| CT's largest not-for-profit senior-focused healthcare provider has an opening for a full time Recreation Therapist at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. The Recreation Therapist provides a variety of recreation programs and services to residents and patients in order to maximize social, physical, psychological and cognitive functions to achieve a desirable quality of leisure life.
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 1 year experience as a TRD, or Associate's degree plus 2 years experience as a TRD; minimum 1 year experience as a Recreation Therapist working with a geriatric population. Experience in inpatient geriatric psychiatry is required for the geri psych unit.
Preferred: Certification in CATRD, NCTC and NCCAP.
