| Part time position with The Republican, Springfield, Massachusetts. The Republican seeks a dynamic journalist who loves news, a fast pace and audience development to join our Online Desk as an overnight news reporter; Thursday through Sunday, 1 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Springfield is a city of 150,000 residents, with a metro population of over 500,000. When the scanner isn't busy, you will be, working on aggregation, site updates and long-term projects. WE SEEK A SELF-STARTER WITH: - Experience in breaking news reporting, photography and video production - Attention to accuracy, detail, style, spelling and grammar - Good news judgment - Experience in using content management systems and basic HTML - SEO and SMO expertise - Direct engagement with our community of users Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
