Position Description:

Along with the CT Whale, the XL Center continues to be the home away from home for both the University of Connecticut Men and Women's basketball programs. The Huskies have grown into a perennial powerhouse, playing in front of sold out crowds and winning National Championships. In addition to the resident teams, the XL Center has entertained millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events and trade shows throughout the season. The XL Center has been the proud host of the Big East Conference Women's Basketball Championship for the past five years and has extended the contract until 2013. The XL Center will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the state of Connecticut for years to come.

Position Purpose: Utilize the portfolio of assets of the XL Center to generate corporate sponsorship sales revenue for AEG Management CT LLC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Sell the full range of XL Center and Connecticut Whale corporate sponsorship sales assets, as well as Executive Suites and Comcast Coliseum Club premium seating inventory to new and existing clients • Manage Executive Suites and Comcast Coliseum Club premium seating inventory and effectively communicate with clients regarding event bookings, availability, pricing, etc. • Manage both Connecticut Whale and XL Center corporate sponsorship sales inventory to maximize revenue. • Develop and present comprehensive corporate sponsorship sales proposals matching XL Center assets with prospect’s marketing objectives • Prepare comprehensive and attractive season-ending recaps for partners, including photos, media inclusions, impression totals, etc. • Represent XL Center and AEG Management CT LLC in a positive and professional manner when interacting with existing partners and prospects • Develop a collaborative working relationship with all internal and external partners • Ability and willingness to work weekends and weekday evenings during events • Other duties as assigned by management

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Successful B2B sales experience preferred • Prior sports and/or entertainment corporate sponsorship sales experience preferred • Solid understanding and knowledge of the New England business market • Basic knowledge of Event Marketing and the packaging of corporate sponsorship sales opportunities • Comfortable in heavy cold-call selling environment • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and management • Ability to work effectively without significant management supervision • Strong organizational skills • Ability to excel in a high-stress environment • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook Apply online: http://aegworldwide.com/about/companyoverview/employment
