Job Description: Position Description: Counseling; social skill groups, assist in the implementation of social/emotional learning curricula; assist in the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans; participate in Special Education team meetings; consult with school staff regarding students and their needs; assist students/families in acquiring community-based services when needed, monitor 504 accommodation plans.
Requirements: Position Qualifications: Masters of Social Work, LICSW or related field with valid Massachusetts licensure as a School Adjustment Counselor; experience with students with a variety of emotional needs, including but not limited to anxiety, anger management, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Mood Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and social skills; knowledge and experience of conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans; general understanding of special education laws and regulations.
