Position Description:
| Zasco Productions LLC, a Chicopee Massachusetts based provider of audio, video, lighting, and production services is seeking a Part-time Entry Level Lighting Production Electrician / Programmer to work in our growing lighting department.
The Production Electrician / Programmer reports to the operations manager and technical director. In the warehouse he/she maintains our lighting and rigging equipment inventory, as well as provides assistance with general warehouse tasks. On show site he/she will be responsible for assembling truss and rigging equipment, interconnecting dimmers, electrical power distribution, and control systems, hanging and focusing lights, as well as programming and operating lighting consoles.
The Production Electrician / Programmer is a hands-on position, and we are looking for someone who can execute small projects independently, as well as learn to lead crews on larger shows.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as be able to interact with clients and be effective in a corporate environment. Experience in corporate event, broadcast and theatrical lighting is a plus, but we have no problem training the right person if they possess the qualities we seek. This individual should be a good multitasker, an excellent problem solver, self-motivated, task and deadline driven, and give attention to detail on projects of any scale.
The Production Electrician / Programmer must be a professional team-player, willing to adapt to the unique nature of the production business. He / She must maintain the ability to function at a high-level, in a dynamic, stressful, deadline driven environment.
Zasco Productions offers a unique and flexible work environment with a small business atmosphere. Hours do occasionally include nights, weekends, and holidays. Some overnight travel will be required.

Requirements:
Must be over 18 years of age
High school diploma
Reliable transportation is a must
Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate
Must be motivated to learn
Ability to safely work from personnel lifts at heights up to 40’
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to safely lift 75lbs on a regular basis
Perform repetitive reaching above shoulder heights, and below the waist
Preform repetitive bending and lifting
Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Hiring is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Lighting for events such as conferences, trade-shows, meetings, awards dinners, political events, and commencements
An understanding of lighting for broadcast television and video production
Programming and operation of computer based lighting consoles such as the HES / Barco Road Hog or Hog PC
Setup and operation of theatrical lighting equipment: including electrical power distribution systems, dimmers, conventional lights, moving lights, and DMX control systems
General understanding of entertainment rigging
Ability to drive (or learn to drive) 26’ non-CDL straight truck
Strong overall technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Video projection, production, or audio experience is also a plus
Industry certifications such at ETCP are a plus Primary Job Responsibilities Include:
Ensure complete customer satisfaction and successful execution of all lighting projects
Overseeing local labor and crews as experience increases
Maintaining company lighting and rigging inventory
Pulling, preparing, and packing equipment based on lighting plots and production paperwork
Preparing hang tapes and assemble cable looms
Laying out and assembling truss, rigging, electrical power distribution, patching dimmers, hanging and focusing lights
Programing and operating lighting consoles Secondary Job Responsibilities Include:
Shop technician: Assist audio and video departments as needed. Preparing new equipment for deployment, and maintaining existing inventory. Preparing, shipping and receiving of rental orders
Salary:
Pay range negotiable based on skills and experience.
