Position Description:
| The Board of Directors of the Springfield Boys & Girls Club in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated, career-oriented Executive Director to lead the agency in fulfilling its mission of providing the needed leadership, guidance, and inspiration that will help young girls and boys grow up to be responsible adults. This planned vacancy is a result of an organizational succession plan and is intended to select a CPO on or before June 1, 2013. The successful candidate will have a BA degree, minimum 3 years management experience, a demonstrated record of community-based achievement, and successful experience in raising funds. This position requires a working knowledge of youth-related issues, strong fiscal management skills, and excellent speaking, writing, marketing, and public relations skills. This candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to oversee a budget of $1 – 2million and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with the board of directors, staff, community volunteers and agency funding sources. Salary range $75,000 to $100,000.
