Personal Training Director
Position oversees the Center’s fitness center and its related health improvement programs. This position also supervises a team of Fitness Specialists, Personal Training/Coaches and a Health Promotion Coordinator. The DOFC is point person for the medical integration aspect of the Center including Post MedCare and other medical referral programs. Participation in health fairs, community health education programs and public speaking engagements required. The Center serve’s all ages including youth, adult and senior populations with varying degrees of health and abilities. Training and accountability in membership systems and sales results as well as sharing in manager-on-duty shifts are expected. Must be a strong communicator with a commitment to superior customer service excellence. S/he is directly responsible for achieving financial revenue growth and budget goals. The DOFC must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, have a commitment to fitness and wellness and continuous learning; have an understanding for the bottom-line and business approach to job performance.
Minimum of a B.S. in Exercise Science Management or related field, 2-3 years of previous experience as a Personal Trainer in an educational, fitness or professional setting. Proven leadership ability to manage and develop staff. Excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills. Current certifications in CPR/AED and national personal training organization (NSCA, ACSM, NASM), Computer literacy with Microsoft Suite and internet.
