Position Description:
| A small start up Technology firm in Western Massachusetts, is seeking an innovative student to work part-time, on a very unique wireless project. The student will be required to work 20 hours a week. Initially the student will be expected to work remotely but will eventully report to our Springfield office at least 2-3 times a week after our projected launch date in the Spring. The student will be part of a small integral team that will develop and produce a consumer product that will be sold throughout the U.S. Critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving abilities are an essential part of this position. You must be a self-starter and self-motivated person. The position requires an understanding of RF/GPS and mobile application development in order to architect and implement a hardware and/or software solution. The following qualifications are preferred for an ideal candidate:
· Knowledge of electronic circuit designing
· System and Sub-system Architecture
· Solid knowledge of GPS/AVL
· Familiar with GPS API
· Knowledge of 4.9GHz public safety band and other WiFi frequencies
· Programming skills like c, c++, or JAVA
· Basic knowledge of network protocols
