BHN seeks qualified individuals for the position of Therapeutic Mentor to work one-to-one with youth who are dealing with social/emotional/behavioral challenges. Mentors address the specific skill-building needs of referred children and youth under the age of 21 years and work collaboratively with referral sources that include Care Coordinators, In-Home Therapists, and Outpatient Clinicians. Services are delivered in the youth's home and or in other appropriate community settings and may be delivered on any day of the week to accommodate youth/family availability. Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be over the age of 21 and have: a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field with at least one year experience, OR an associate's degree with two years experience, OR a high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience; the ability to provide services during the hours when the child or youth is available and be available to treatment or care planning meetings with the referring behavioral health provider; knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word for documentation; have a valid driver's license with a verified clean driving record; have a reliable vehicle available for work purposes.
