Position Description:

Part-time position. Donor Relations Coordinator Location : Northampton Company : Northampton Survival Center Website : Description : The Northampton Survival Center, a non-profit food pantry serving the Hampshire County community, is seeking to hire a Donor Relations Coordinator, a part-time position integral to the effectiveness of the NSC’s fundraising efforts. The Donor Relations Coordinator will work directly with the Executive Director to implement all aspects of the Center’s development plan following the recent completion of the NSC's first capital campaign, including but not limited to: developing and implementing strategies for major gift cultivation, annual support, business support, public outreach, donor database management, grants, and planned giving efforts. Required Skills and Experience SKILLS: Passion for the Center’s mission; excellent written and verbal communication skills; warmth in interpersonal relations; creativity, flexibility, resourcefulness, self-direction and maturity; excellent organizational skills; strong computer skills across many applications. Donor database, graphic design and social media skills a plus. EXPERIENCE: Fundraising, public relations or other communications and administrative experience in an office setting. Hours The Donor Relations Coordinator will work 18 hours a week within the Center’s regular hours, which are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 4 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 7:30 pm. The rate of pay is $14 - $16 per hour. Starting date is anticipated to be mid- to late-January, 2013. Supervision Received Supervised by the Executive Director. The small NSC staff has a close-knit team, as well as an active and hard-working Board of Directors and other community volunteers with whom the Coordinator would work closely.
