Internships w/Wilderness School


Position Description:

The Wilderness School is a Dept. of Children and Families and provides therapeutic adventure based programming designed as journey experiences to youth ages 13-16.

We are seeking motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds to join our professional team. Professional growth can be closely related to the following fields: . Social Work or Counseling . Education (experiential, special, or traditional) . Wilderness Leadership . Therapeutic Rec . Criminal Justice.

Types of positions available for intern placement include: Instructor, Course Director, Logistics Climbing Specialists, Intake and Orientation Specialists, Cook, and Food Handler.

Requirements: 18 years of age, valid drivers license, current wilderness first aid, AHD or ARC CPR Certification, interest/ability to work with youth, willingness to work outdoors, must pass State of Connecticut's pre-employment screening, must be present for all staff training.
