Alvin & Company, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of drafting, fine art, and craft supplies. We are a creative company in the design industry that continues to grow after 60+ years.
The chosen candidate will be part of a graphics team that is responsible for the design and production of:
·Product assembly instructions (with illustrations)
·E-newsletter and promotional/sale announcement emails
·Trade show and other event materials
·Other marketing materials, as needed
·Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CS5 and Microsoft Suite.
· A two year degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Visual Arts, etc. with one year work experience, or a minimum of three years related work experience if no degree.
·Thorough understanding of and ability to adhere to company’s file management, proofing, and production processes.
·Capable of making critical, artistic decisions regarding aesthetics of the project.
·Previous experience designing for both print and web resolutions and requirements
·Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
·Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Ability to follow direction while remaining detail oriented.
·Must be able to handle the pressure of and meet impending deadlines.
Minor flexibility in work schedule is also required. During high volume months, this may include possible extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with 30 minute lunch break and two paid 10 minute breaks.
