Position Description:
| Tour Guides are responsible for interpreting the historic home and gardens. Guides lead 45-minute individual and group tours, greet visitors, assist self-guiding visitors and provide for the safety and security of the house, the grounds, and visitors. Prior experience as a guide, public speaker or other work in customer service is preferred. Excellent opportunity for college students, teachers or anyone with a love of literature, history, architecture, gardening or landscape design.
Qualified applicants for all positions should preferably have at least one year of college education, and must have flexible schedules and excellent customer service skills. All seasonal positions at The Mount require weekend and holiday availability, and evening hours for special events. Full or part-time positions available.
The full season runs from May 4 – Oct. 31 with some positions starting later or ending earlier. Hourly pay is based on experience.
