Jackson and Caporale Named 2008 ECAC Division III Northwest Football All-Stars Springfield, Mass. – January 5, 2009 – A pair of Springfield College seniors have been named 2008 ECAC Division III Northwest Football All-Stars after solid seasons this year. Named an all-star on offense was senior center Andrew Jackson, while senior inside linebacker Tom Caporale was honored on defense. Read more. |

Springfield, Mass. - January 3, 2009 - The Springfield College men's basketball team set a pair Holiday Inn/Naismith Classic records for field goals made and field goals attempted as it downed Castleton State, 97-55, on Saturday afternoon. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — January 2, 2009 – Led by Allegra Lavoy’s 15 points and 11 rebounds, the Salve Regina University women’s basketball team defeated Springfield College, 50-46, in the opening round of the 2009 Holiday Inn/Naismith Classic earlier this afternoon at Springfield College’s James Naismith Court in Blake Arena. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – December 22, 2008 – Springfield College has been selected to receive the highly-coveted Jostens/NADIIIAA Community Service Top “Award of Merit” for projects completed during the 2007-08 academic year. The College will be presented the Jostens/NADIIIAA Award of Merit in the “Array of Projects/Activities” category on January 15, 2009 at the NCAA Convention in Washington, D.C.
