SHS Manchester Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant Recipient

Dr. Marjeanne Vacco, faculty member of the School of Human Services (SHS) Manchester Campus has been notified by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the Bureau of Education and the Cultural Affairs Department of State, and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars that she has been selected for a Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant in Social Work at ISCET - Higher Institute for Tourism and Business Studies in Oporto, Portugal. This will be her third Fulbright, one through the Scholars Program and another through the Senior Specialists Program. The first, at the Al Ferabi National Kazak University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, was through the Scholars Program. The second, at Ho Chi Minh Open University, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam was through the Senior Specialist Program.

The award for Portugal requests that she present lectures to students and supervise some seminars at the Department of Social Work. Additionally, she will make a presentation on April 29, 2008, at a conference held in the city of Oporto. She expects to be in Portugal for approximately four weeks, leaving on April 7, 2008, and returning in early May 2008.
